Late last fall, Rami Abu-Sitta, former member of Dotsun Moon and performer under the alias of Sound Sound Shaman, moved out west to San Diego for a fresh start and to reconnect with old childhood friend Odie O'Connor. Together, the duo formed Baby Buffalo, featuring Abu-Sitta on vocals, synth, guitar, and sampler, and O'Connor on drums and sampler. The self titled E.P., in particular the opening track "Sea Salt", sounds like Interpol had they followed a more dream pop sound as Abu-Sitta's vocals sound downright Paul Banks esque. You can be listen to the E.P. in full at their bandcamp page, and if you happen to be out in San Diego, the duo will be performing this Thursday at the Tin Can Ale House, and on July 2nd at the Che Cafe for something called Bromigo Fest.
