Tonight: Thursday at the Harbor w/ The Cult

It's that time of year again.  Thursday at the Squa... I mean, Harbor is back, and what better way to kick off the season than with The Cult!

One of the 1980s flag-bearers of staying true to rock n' roll, The Cult are in the midst of a tour covering both North America and Europe in support of their latest album Choice Of Weapon, which was released this past May.

This is certainly not The Cult's first appearance in Buffalo.  They have performed several times in the past at one of our various summer concert venues in recent years.  I have never seen them live before, but after speaking with those who have I am very excited to attend the show tonight.

They have been described as a straight ahead rock band that stick to their roots and concentrate on the music... which is always dynamic.  A coworker of mine who has seen them several times says that they manage to "stay fresh after all these years and always put on an impressive show".

Florida punk rockers Against Me! and L.A. rockers The Icarus Line will be opening in support of The Cult this evening.

The show is scheduled to get under way at 5:00PM and is free of charge.

Cheers to another great summer of music in Buffalo!

  1. Two things:
    1) The singer looks like Mickey Rourke
    2) That is an awesome pelt!
