Conor Oberst, lead singer and mastermind behind Omaha indie rock project Bright Eyes, seems like a guy who can't sit still for more than 5 minutes. Since 2004, the man has been responsible for 12, count em, 12 releases! These include works by his Mystic Valley solo project (which we saw the last time he came to Artpark), his all-star studded side-project Monsters of Folk, and of course his main squeeze, Bright Eyes. Known for their dense poetic lyrics and songs that can shift from glitzy electronic to America country and everywhere in between, Bright Eyes is a band that will give you something new every time you listen to them. The band is currently touring in support of their apocalyptic electro-roots album The Peoples Key, which by most accounts was well received by critics. Joining the band for tonight's free show are the like minded trio The Mountain Goats. As we just mentioned, the show is free, and music starts around 6:30!
