The Elmwood Village Concert Series continues tonight with a performance from Buffalo's best(only?) Gypsy Jazz group Babik. Named after the son of Gypsy Jazz legend/guitarist Django Reinhardt, Babik has continued to make a name for themselves in the Buffalo live music scene since their inception in 2005. Make sure you get there EARLY if you want to get anywhere near the stage. A few of us went last week for the Shadows Motown & Soul Revue with Barbara St. Clair, and we were pretty much sitting on the sidewalk on Elmwood. No matter though. A good time was still had with good friends and drinks, and I imagine this evening, weather permitting, will be the same Tonight's free show begins at 7:00pm. The show will be preceded by a fashion show from Elmwood boutique made by anatomy at 6:30.
