Local singer/songwriter Brian Wheat won't be local for that much longer. The light-hearted indie folk rocker will soon be making a new home half way across the country in Minneapolis MN. But before he leaves the Nickle City for a new home, Mr. Wheat will be hosting an album release party tonight for his latest full-length LP Looking Alive at the Elmwood Lounge. He's latest offering has that breezy early morning acoustic sound of pacific coast bands Veviter or Band of Horses, but with the occasional touch of strings & organs that while subtle, give the album a very garmented & polished sound.
