Tonight Broadway Joe's, hub of Buffalo hip hop, and nationally renowned dive bar opens up it's garage style patio door to Hoodie Allen. For those out of the know, Hoodie Allen is a Long Island rapper that has had two #1 songs on the Hype Machine, just released his third mixtape, and despite hundreds of thousands of downloads, HA still remains unsigned hype. Touring in support of his latest mixtape "Leap Year", HA has been touring all over the country, and has begun to develop a cult following. He resembles the Bear Jew from Quentin Tarentino's Inglourious Basterds, and laces his light-hearted party rhymes with personal tidbits and real substance. Opening up for Hoodie are groovy back and forth rhymers Fortune Family; a deeper based, closer to roots, hip hop duo that is definitely worth showing up early for. Show starts around 7pm, and tickets are $14 at the door.
