Just another week of great parties and events here in Buffalo, NY. But it’s whatever...apparently. After a poor showing by the scene at last Saturday’s parties, I was a little disenchanted by BLO not showing up. Paper Diamond was a great show, that all of 100 people saw. Shit’s weak. But just as I quickly as I was pissed, my thoughts were erased by a huge crowd showing up for Conspirator last night at the Ballroom and a nice spattering of peeps at B-Joe’s. I guess that’s how it will always go though. Some things will hit hard (speaking of attendance) and others will miss hard. Maybe there is an over-saturation of events and parties. I’ll be the first to say it, but nothing is remedied without everyone sticking together and not resting on their laurels. Keep it coming. Just do it better. Throw it back. And simplify. Let’s not ruin a good thing here. Respect and love to everyone in Buffalo on their grind, and helping to further the culture of music and art.
Now let TDMReport round-up what is hot and what is hush-hush for the entertainment of Buffalo this week.

DBGB’S

Frosty Tone has taken over Thursday’s at DBGB’s now, which is all well and good with me. This being the fourth week in a row, it seems pretty well established. This week will feature Buffalo Producer/DJ AreHouse. Ryan has been on a roll lately making Moombahton; getting one of his tracks on David Heartbreak’s Moombahsoul VOL. 3 EP. Which you can listen to below. He’s been on the wave, sculpting songs using a Moombahton base, while his own humor and swagger. Also on the bill will be Frosty Tone DJs, Big Basha, Drop D, CMC, and Demi-God.

Protect your neck in the jungle and you wont be bothered by the Boars and Gazelles; Lions will hang back until it’s time to go in for the kill. On the tunes will be Sunglasses Mike, AreHouse, Emjay Biggz, and Medison. Roll deep with your pack and you just may stay out of harm’s way.

FREEFORM RECORD PARTY

10p-?
Free
NORTH
140 north st. Buffalo, NY
Check out the FreeForm Record party at the North on Saturday and you’re in for a really good time. Not to mention you will be so super cool, hanging in the basement of the Lenox Hotel, in a dimly lit old-fashioned lounge. The Vinyl Retentives crew will be spinning the best underground rock and roll from every era, and this installment will feature their friend Afro-Marc, who’s specialty is funk and afro-beat music. All spun on vinyl, this party will go as late as people stay. I highly recommend checking this out if you’re looking for something off the beaten path and unheard of. Or if you’re just sick of bleeps and blips, craving drum kits off of vinyl.
FREE PARTY

GOLDEN KEY TAVERN

First party I’ve ever heard of at the Golden Key. Yeah, the Golden Key, right around the corner from my old stomping grounds on the West Side of Buffalo. Should be a pretty interesting spot for a bass music party. Which is what you will get with this line-up; Dubstep, Drumstep, Jump-Up, House and Sub-Bass will be the menu’s entrees. And those cooking up the beats will be, Beretta, Tempers Rouge, Sunglasses Mike, Stuntman, and Hxly.
