I am all about themes here on buffaBLOG and since Wavves and Fucked Up are in town on Sunday, today's MTV will be from the opening band Wavves. Wavves frontman Nathan Williams has a laundry list of reasons why people hate him and his music and is more than likely the sole reason for the revolving door of band members that we have seen from Wavves over the years. From alcohol and drugs to anger and fighting, Williams still seems to want to make music and is continuing to do just that. The video I have hand selected today is the track "Bug" off the Life Sux EP. If you are down with the surf rock/noise pop genre, then his song is for you. The video depicts some form of partying combined with an interesting collage of card and board games going on. The two in the video are playing Monopoly one second and then sinking each others battleships the next and I'm fairly certain theres a Taboo buzzer and some Ouija board going on. Good luck figuring out the rest of the video. I do not condone any of the partying in this video, but do most certainly want to try this many games at once.
