This Weekend: Night Lights Fall Music Festival

One of Western New York's best-kept secrets is the Night Lights venue on the Blue Heron property in Sherman, N.Y. (in Chautauqua County, near the Pennsylvania line). It's described as "one of North America's most unique eco-tourism attractions where visitors walk one mile of trail transformed with theatrical and interactive lighting." Musical acts often play the Night Lights grounds, adding to the psychedelic experience.

This weekend, the Night Lights Fall Music Festival will showcase the relatively unknown outdoor site with some of the Buffalo and Jamestown area's most unique bands. Representing Buffalo are the bluesy Jony James Band, the experimental Logo City, and the headlining Lazlo Hollyfield, among others. Thee Audience of Jamestown are also on the bill, a band influenced by a wide array of artists, including the Pixies, Billy Joel, and Can.

All the acts are at night to showcase the "Night Lights" vibe. Tickets for the entire weekend are $35.
