When I write on buffaBLOG, I overuse words like "truly original" and "musicianship," and I only realize it when I have to write posts like this. New York City's Consider the Source will be at Nietzsche's tonight, and if you have nothing to do, you've gotta be there. There's just no other way of saying it; these guys have to be seen to be believed. The Middle-Eastern sci-fi funk instrumental trio showcases a double-necked fretless guitar (!) and John Ferrara, one of the most technically accomplished bass players I've ever seen on YouTube - no kidding. There's one video out there that shows CTS opening for Victor Wooten, and Ferrara schools Wooten on his own impossibly hard "Classical Thump."
