Listener's Digest: Chance The Rapper - "Acid Rain"

Acid Rap, the incredible new mixtape from Chicago's Chance the Rapper, is full of soulful production and impressive lyrical prowess. On one of the more mellow tracks on the tape, "Acid Rain," Chance dials it back to offer an introspective look into his world over an orchestral sample. With lines like "Sometimes the truth don't rhyme, sometimes the lies get millions of views," the young rapper offers his insight on the things that trouble him most. The lyrical transparency brings to mind Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid, M.A.A.D City and much like the Compton MC, Chance's appeal is the conviction with which his lines are delivered that make it apparent that the 20-year-old has a lot to say.
