Over the weekend, electronic noisemakers (and possible wizards), Sparklebomb and YesYes released a collaborative single to mark YesYes' departure from the city. "Our Blood is Made of Eagle$" is a short burst of amazing ideas, a wonderful cacophony barely contained by a droning beat. Garbled tape samples of vocals (possibly from Sparklebomb's enviable archive of lost phone calls) intersperse, gradually building in intensity until the track ends in a crash while also somehow vaguely reminding me of the disappointment I feel whenever I lose a game of Missle Command. Early 2014 looks to be a busy time for Sparklebomb as she recently announced the completion of her upcoming debut cassette. Funeral Beats. Stay tuned!

I removed the erase head from a tape recorder and Mike (YesYes) & I spent two or three nights trying to master the art of blind, seamless multi-tracking. Tape is a weakling - it gets distorted pretty easily when you're layering audio on top of audio with minimum volume control. All garbage considered, plus more, means that we produced about 15-20 duds and 3 or 4 somewhat-composed songs. As for the vocals you hear - Mike would sing, we'd rewind the tape trying to find the right spot, hit record, and hope like heck that I was singing in time with him.
In conclusion, removing the erase head of a tape recorder is a very neat idea to experiment with & everyone should find a recorder and a tutorial on YouTube & try it right this second.

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you're working
with? I'm planning to start my own blog in the near future
but I'm having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then
most blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
