Better Times is one of the best hardcore bands in Buffalo...period. A classic combination of NYHC, youth crew and mid-tempo stomp, BT has been raising a much-deserved buzz around town. Tonight, the BT fella's will be celebrating the release of their new 7", If Not Us. Also on the bill are hard hitters Bad People, who will be releasing a 7" as well, titled Pearls Before Swine, Malfunction and Tied Down. The Flesh Temple is the spot (1245 Niagara st) and it's only $5 to get in (6pm). See what Buffalo's got to offer these days and head down. Hardcore for those that like their core HARD.

So. I had no idea who the Vomit were when I first started writing this post. All I knew was that they were "awesome street punk because they're so anti-everything," Sounds fishy right?

Well, turns out the Vomit is indeed Dead Hearts, which is awesome news for those people who won't be able to make the Alix Rice Benefit on Saturday (post to come). Instead, you have the privilege of seeing the Hearts at the most proper hardcore venue in the city, the Funeral Home ($10, 7pm). Oh yea, and two of my current favorite locals are also on the bill, Better Times and Wreckage. So is Source of Relapse who I haven't heard yet.

There's no reason why you shouldn't be at this show. As Vogel would say, Stage Dive Mach 10!!!!!

One of my favorite places in Buffalo to see a show is the Funeral Home. It's spacious, the stage is great, and the hangeage is ample. Plus they always get great nationals (See: Trapped Under Ice, Earth Crisis, Terror) and great locals (See: Vile Crocodile, Imminent Collapse, Rhinoceros and the list goes on). In the spirit of Xmas, tonight some of Buffalo's best will be making the rounds at the Home, inevitably bringing the mosh and having a blast. Headlining is Better Times, one of the best bands to come out of Blo in the last few years, as well as Malfunction, Controversy, Brain Wreck and Juggernaut. Do yourself a favor and see why we have one of the best hardcore scenes in the country. Shows at 7pm.
