The month of May saw one of Buffalo's most hyped and anticipated shows in a very long time, M83 at the Town Ballroom, leave those in attendance in awe.  M83 alone, and last weekend's Queen City Cartel's Field Day festival for that matter, would make any month one to remember.  And while it will be hard to top last month, it certainly won't be for lack of effort if we don't as great concerts seemed to be announced on a near daily clip, but most recent and notable being Yeasayer this August at Town Ballroom.  June, while still full of great national acts like tUnE yArDs, Childish Gambino, and the return of Roger Water's Wall, may very well belong to a few local acts.  The month is book ended by album release shows from two of our favorite local bands:  the relatively new to the scene 80's embracers the Canary Girls, and synth pop due Love Scenes, who bring their introspective dance music back to the local live scene for their first show since New Years Eve.  Also, the fascinating enigma that is Just Ending Now aka Jeremey Jermaine Jerome will make a much awaited local return with a show at Soundlab.
