This great Buffalo summer of music is still in high gear, and luckly the end is still far off. The month kicks off with a great 1-2 punch. Psych dance outfit Yeasayer begins the month of August with a bang, continuing Town Ballroom's stellar year of striking when the iron is hot, followed by tomorrow's Thursday at the Harbor show with the Jesus and Mary Chain. One of the more influential post-punk bands from the mid to late 1980s, the JaMC should be one of the more interesting harbor shows of the summer. Later this month, mash up artist extraordinaire Girl Talk plays the inaugural show of Outer Harbor Series, which given GT's massive accessibility, expect an equally massive crowd. The rest of the month is filled in with great local showcases, beginning tonight at Mohawk Place with Brother Keep, the Breathing Tree, and the Temps of course the end run of this year's Buffalo Infringement Festival. Now you can never see every show, but it's best to star planning now to prove me wrong.
