Electronic jam super-group Conspirator have separated themselves from being just a spin-off of The Disco Biscuits. Forming in 2004, Disco Biscuits members Aaron Mangner and Marc Brownstien started a new musical journey that is now no-longer just a side project. Tonight, they are making what has become a common tour-stop at the Town Ballroom, one of their favorite venues to play in. Coming off their latest release, the Unleashed EP, the band has added Pendulum's tour drummer KJ Sawka along with Conspirator regular and Raq guitarist Chris Michetti. What's more is that on this tour, they have brought along their friends Break Science, Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee, whose duo has made waves and gained a lot of new fans in the electronic jam scene in the past two years. 

Both bands will take the stage with a high level of good energy, so if you are a fan of this type of music this is a show you would regret to miss. Even if you can appreciate talented live drumming, the quality of these two individuals performing tonight in Sawka and Deitch is paramount and again not to be passed over. Brooklyn based electronic duo Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee take all of the wonderful aspects of genres and merge them to form Break Science. Under the Pretty Lights Music label, Break Science puts together tunes with hints of many genres ranging from hip-hop, drum n' bass and minimal electronica.

"The monolith represents a transition into a higher level of consciousness. A spark that initiates us to consider wider possibilities and ideas. The code is the system to express this transformation. Containing information from the past, present and future, it holds the key to unlock our potential as spiritual beings," says Lee about their 2012 release of Monolith Code.

Catch them perform tonight at Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar, and be sure to get there for the opener. Also signed to the same label, Michal Menert will be performing prior to Break Science. After co-producing Pretty Lights' debut album, Michal Menert was the first person to be signed to their label.

Last week marked another free release from Pretty Lights' self titled music label, Pretty Lights Music.  Since this label has been started, there have been free releases from artists such as Paper Diamond, Michael Menert, Gramatik, Paul Basic, SuperVision, and now a second release from Break Science, a Brooklyn based Electro duo comprised of Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee.  These two producers and seasoned vets of the music scene have quite the resume behind them.  The duo has produced and performed with the likes of The Fugees, Wu Tang Clan, and even John Scofield. 


For their first album, Further Than Our Eyes Can See, Break Science went with a bit more hip hop feel.  This time around, the boys have gone with some production value and really drive home some good ol fashioned glitch-hop electro tied together with some hard hitting bass.

I expect giant things from these guys in the near future, plan on seeing them be a staple for festivals this year and if they are playing in your city, do not hesitate to buy a ticket.  Their album, as is all music is on Pretty Lights Music, can be downloaded for free or you can throw them a couple bucks if you feel so inclined.
