Hot Tip, a band that we’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about,
finally released their much-anticipated demos to the internet yesterday and it
did not disappoint. Consisting of a conglomerate
of three punk-regulars on the West Side (Mapmaker, Cross Stitch, and Pang), Hot
Tip is exactly what you would expect from that scene, an enjoyable yet slightly
raucous post-punkier version of Screaming
Females. The demo was recorded by the
mind(s) behind Feral Kids Records in the basement of DIY spot, The Glitterbox, but could easily pass for the basement of The Jungle Gym. Check
