Since the fall of 2012, the revamped WBNY Local Show, with fellow blogger and friend Michael "Tight" Moretti at the helm, has done an incredible job at bringing you some of the area's most buzz worthy songs and acts. With heavy rain in the forecast for this evening, its probably to stay inside and tune into tonight's brand new episode of the WBNY Local Show as host Mike Moretti welcomes UVB-76 to the studios.  Comprised to Mario Fanone and Sheri Miller, the electronic dance duo have been a mainstay in the live music scene for some time, making regular appearances at the Vault and Soundlab, as well as recent FOUNDRY events and last summer's Music is Art. Other projects, both  past and present, under the duo include ABC DJ and Bev Beverly.

Kick back and enjoy the pleasant Buffalo (near) summer evening with a new episode of the WBNY Local Show hosted by Michael Moretti, who was recently robbed of Best Radio Personality in Buffalo in Artvoice's Best of Buffalo Awards. Look at it outside. What is this spring? This weather is horrible and it doesn't seem to be getting any better this week, so might as well curl up tonight and tune into the brand new episode of the WBNY Local Show and the smooth sounds of host Michael Moretti. Tonight's guest is four-piece punk outfit Tired Iron. Relatively new to the Buffalo scene, Tired Iron released their debut, self titled EP last spring after recording with Matt Smith at Hi/Lo Recording Studios. The WBNY Local Show and host Mike Moretti kick off the month of April by welcoming American Stories as their special guest this evening.   The four piece combines some folky Americaan and jangly college rock on their debut LP Prelude, released early last year, and is currently available to download/stream on their bandcamp page.

The WBNY Local Show closes out another strong month with, in my opinion at least, the best band Buffalo currently as to offer as host Michael Moretti welcomes Aircraft to the studio.  After first catching the foursome last year open for Caveman in the basement of Asbury Hall, I have made it a point to see them live as much as possible. Later next month, the retro psych rockers will finally release their first proper LP, titled Sonic Boom, at the Vault on April 27th.

Tonight's new episode of the WBNY Local Show, hosted by Michael Moretti, will welcome Tony Flaminio, leader singer/guitar player of Failures' Union and sax player in Mallwalkers. as it's special guest. Flaminio recently dropped his solo album, Grim Repair, which was released on fellow Mallwalkers Stephen Floyd's One Percent Press.
