Canada sure is good at exporting some of the best legit indie rock bands. Arcade Fire, Metric, and Death From Above 1979 all hail from our northern neighbors. The reason I bring this up is because over the weekend I’ve been jamming out to one of the US’s latest imports from Canada, PS I Love You (not to be confused with the Hilary Swank movie). PS I Love You has earnest Jeremy Jay-y vocals meets gritty mix of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and the Dum Dum Girls. The band is currently signed to Paperbag Records (Tokyo Police Club, Broken Social Scene, Rural Alberta Advantage) and it’s 2011 release Figure It Out is definitely up there in my best of the year countdown. Check out the track “Facelove.”

I'm reasonably disappointed you got to write about these guys before me. Meet Me At The Muster Station was my favorite album of last year and it wasn't even close.
i was jamming to that same album all summer. mostly cause we thought the lead singer looked like our bass player.
